Kokam Goli is a traditional Indian candy made from kokum fruit (garcinia indica). The fruit is dried and powdered, and then mixed with jaggery (unrefined cane sugar) and other ingredients such as cumin powder and black pepper to create a dough. The dough is then shaped into small balls, or “golis,” and dried in the sun. The resulting candy is tangy and slightly sweet, with a unique flavor and texture.
